was hesitating whether to go work at DFS for some extra cash.. but it started to rain.
(good excuse for my laziness of not wanting to go work though i'm dead broke..)
since i'm at home and have nth to do... i shall update on my taiwan trip =)
i went to taiwan for a good 8days 7nights...
no no... i did not take SQ... i took jetstar.. cos the tickets were cheaper by a whole lot...
after approx a 4hours flight, i finally touched down at taipei tao yuan airport..
went straight to the hotel to freshen up and head out for dinner...
Nei Jiang Shang Lu...
this hotel is jus 5mins walk away from the ximen MRT.
(slightly off ximending)
Though its not a high class hotel, but firstly, its cheap. Secondly, its CLEAN. Thirdly, the hotel staff are super friendly and courteous. last but not least, at least it smelled good..
(right precious??? next time stay here k...)
cam-whored a little before we went out to eat.
DAY 2
most of our days in taipei, we travelled by MRT aka "jie yun"
using the same tap and go (EZlink) system.
look at the coin I'm holding. this is the 'standard ticket'. ours is in a card form, theirs in in a coin form... i was so afraid that i would accidentally drop or lose the coin...
nothing much to shop there.
very much like our paragon..
we were hesitating whether to go to the observatory deck. but the cab driver encouraged us not to go. he said its a waste of money...
so we settled for these pictures =)
wu fen pu is a great place to shop... plenty of clothes....
however, not all clothes there are cheap...
i'm still upset about it as the dress i liked costs about S$60... and the lady from that particluar shop refused to give me a discount unless i buy in bulk...
MADNESS!!!
(why would i want so many dresses in so many colours and in different sizes!!!)
but there are cheap buys...
as there are not much clothes to buy, we head over to the roadside stalls.
stopped over at a spectacle shop and tried on their specs..
we were happily snapping when the uncle said 'mai le cai pai, mai le cai pai' hahhaa...
(buy already than take picture...)
this is one of BF's fav pic.. he's so proud of taking this pic...
After roaming around at wu fen pu, and being scolded by the uncle,
we head over to Rao He...
first we went to the temple to pray...
and then to the night market to eat and shop...
and then back to the hotel to recharge for the next day...
DAY 3
got up early in the morning and made our way to jiu fen...
quite a distance from where we are staying
took the train instead of MRT
hungry me eating in the bus up the mountain...
jiu fen is a place for people who knows how to appreciate the secenary...
and they said the one of the scenes of the F4 show liu xin hua yuan, was filmed here...
i wonder where... hmmmm.....
and GOODNESS!!!
this BF of mine can really take hell ugly pictures of me...
but i'm still nice to take a proper pic of him...
one of the restaurants at jiu fen...
Zhu Jiao Mian Xian
(pig trotters mee sua)
no zhu jiao mian xian for me... hate the fatty oily part....
(see... i love lurffiee very much... i would do nth to harm her... hahaha =X)
BF LOVES zhu jiao mian xian...
cant stop raving about it....
having said that he wasn't really hungry before the food arrived, i was shocked that he could actually finish the whole bowl by himself..
see what happen to him after that......
haha... he did it on purpose to make me laugh...
*love love*
to help BF digest, we shopped a little lot..
spot me... jostling in the crowd acting lyk an aunty...
and if you go to jiu fen, pls buy some tai yang bing back from this particular shop.
Li Yi Bing Dian.
came dawn, we went over to shilin..
played some games, won a mickey mouse, and eat eat eat =)
taiwan taiwan... such a foody paradise...
DAY 4
came day 4, i was being such an ass and refuse to eat what the hotel provided...
Bf was nice enough to bring me out to eat instead of asking me to stop being so choosy =)
the cab driver who told us no to go up the observatory deck at taipei 101 recommended us to go for this instead..
i guess both serves the same purpose of having a birds eye view of taipei. but he said that this more value for money as u get to see taipei at different angles. better paying just to be in a tall building to view taipei at a particular angle...
but its good damn hot.. for those who cant stand the heat, go 101 instead...
cos there is no aircon in the cable car...
scorching hot...
(some ppl told me it will rain and rain!!!)
oily faces!!!
cutey pies playing some instruments...
reminds me of my nursery times where there is a 'concert' at the end of the year...
BF wanted to go to the ZOO... but i refused.. there's really nth much to see at the zoo right???? i'm such a tyrant... poor BF...
(next time den i go zoo with u k..)
at night, we went to hua xi and than to long shan si...
and then back to ximending to eat the famous
Ah Zhong Mee Sua
very very *yummy* or maybe i was too hungry.
but bf and i went back 3 out of 7 nights...
oh wells... i'm getting a little tired...
gonna catch some winks and have dinner..
to be continued...
