today was supposed to be a BF day.

but poor bf is sick...

therefore, i'm stuck at home.

hope bf is feeling better after seeing the doc...



on 25th Mar'09 bf and i went to Batam

both of us, being first timers at batam, we had to do alot of asking and research before going there. but it never worried me as bf is able to converse in fluent bahasa melayu...

*so proud of him*

being able to speak and communicate is the basic need of being in a foreign place..

at harbourfront ferry terminal

off we go...



after 45mins of ferry ride. we finally reached waterfront terminal

i finally set foot in batam




holiday inn resort was where we stayed for the night

we stayed at the ground floor
hence this is what we see when we open our balcony door and walk out



after settling and raving at holiday inn, we went out for lunch.

though i was down with food poisoning 2 days before the trip, and my stomach was not feeling ok, how can i resisit those food...

and not forgetting A & W

it has been ages since i had A & W

i miss their curly fries sooOooooOOooo much!!!

after lunch, we visited the tua pek kong temple
(i realised that we always visit temples overseas. i don't know why...)

though many has recommended golden prawn, we decided against going there as some forum bf came across suggested that we visit A1 as golden prawn is like the newtown here...
i don't wanna pay $200 for 8 prawns... hahahhaha....

so huge that i dare not eat some...

at night about 9pm, before supper, bf and i felt fat...

hence we went to the gym to shed some fats

its a 12KG dumbell ok....

did i mention, i can skip pretty well.
i was skipping runner up in primary school...

woke up at 9am, had breakfast and then we went for a morning swim..

after checking out, we booked a car and went go-karting

so fun...

s$18??? that's for like 10 mins...

finally back in SG...

though it was a short getaway, it was a fantastic one...
