3d2n Phuket

every year without fail, bf and i would go on short trips.
my birthday or his birthday will always be spent together.
MEGA LOVE!!!



though we irritate the hell out of each other and have huge quarrels or small tiffs, i'm still glad to have him by my side. cos this is one man i don't wanna lose.




bf loves the sun and the sea.
so in oct 2010, we went to phuket

subway breakfast at the airport.

going budget again...

i vividly remember not having any sleep the night before.
sometimes, i really wonder where i get my energy from.

this is one of the few shots which you cant see the big pimple on my chin.
i brought it to phuket and back.

fell asleep almost instantly. slept like a baby throughout the 1.5 hrs flight

the plane was landing and bf woke me up.
i was damn grouchy, and bf still make me take pic with him.
hence, i covered my face...
haha..

phuket airport was effing crowded...
signs everywhere..

we had a hard time finding this piece of paper...

i love my cap =D

we booked a driver for the trip instead of driving ourselves.

when i go overseas, i'm damn lazy to put make up.
i should learn how to put falsies.

as usual, temples are a must visit for bf.

i think for the whole trip, we visited mostly temples...
but well, its his birthday trip. as long as he is happy =)

the hero monument was the only non temple attraction.

LUNCH

looks can be deceiving. these noodles were fantastic!!!!

and i can read chinese books ok!!!
just a bit slowwww....

after lunch was shopping time...
but i didn't buy anything...

i love domo kun...
i have loads of them in my car.
hahahhaa....

after shopping, we visited the big buddha...

i noticed the big buddha seems to be looking at us no matter where we are

putting coins in the bowls..

climbed up to the top to see what's up there...
omg.. u can see my very big pimple here...

the thais are very devoted buddhist.

at about 6pm, we head over to view the sunset.

bf used his mighty DSLR, while i use my digi-cam

it was this bright when we reached.

and it was this dark when we left.
it could have been more beautiful if it was not for the clouds.

after a whole day out, we went back to the hotel for a quick bath.

rayaburi beach club
a small place which has about 20 rooms.
but every room is big and spacious and most importantly, has a good sea view.
cheap too!!!

seafood dinner...

we could choose our own fish and prawns.
i know nothing about them, bf chose everything.
hence, if it wasnt fresh, bf was to blame..
hee hee..

after dinner, we went for a stroll...

the 'red light' district...

omg!!! it was an eye opener...

it is really WILD there...
kinda scary, cos ppl were trying to pull u to go into the clubs...

ohh.. we stayed at patong beach..

DAY 2

woke up damn early for breakfast.

the same driver arranged a pick up for us to phi phi island.
as usual, slept all the way til we reached the pier.

tying my hair, getting all set...

this was the company that will bring us to phi phi.

the waters here are much cleaner and clearer as compared to patong beach.

for a shopaholic like me who hates the sun and sea, for once i really enjoyed them.

the boat stopped in the middle of no where and we went down for a swim..

oh yes, we managed to take such nice pictures cos clever bf borrowed the underwater camera from his shop.

we had lunch at phi phi.
and while everyone else is enjoying the sun and sea, i hid at one shady corner, wrapped myself in a beach towel and fell asleep.
hahahaha...

after a few hours there, the boat took us back..

back at the hotel..
to get ready for dinner.
it was bf's birthday dinner...

the view from our balcony was fantastic!!!

dinner was seafood again..

we had giant prawns instead

DAY 3

went to to beach just outside our hotel.

a reason why i love night flights is so that i could have extra time in the day to enjoy before going back to reality...

i didnt want to bring my bag out cos it would definitely become dirty..
so we took the hotel's beach bag out..
i kinda intend to get one soon...

irritating bf stole my sarong and became 'blue' riding hood..

i miss phi phi already!!!

and we caught people doing body massage by the beach..
i wouldnt try that.
i love aircon and a comfy bed.

pizza lunch since we could think of anything else to eat.
we had 2 days of seafood which was enough...

half pepperoni, half hawaiian..

rode out little bike for some shopping..
basically we wanted to spend the rest of the evening in an airconditioned place..

came dusk we were to leave phuket..

grabbed some food by the streets while waiting for our driver.

there isnt much street food in phuket.
very much unlike bangkok!!!
i miss bangkok...

the driver whom helped us arrange everything for our trip.

hungry me had some donuts before boarding the plane..

for once, i think i didn't sleep during the flight back.
*applause pls*

and my 2 potato chips which almost exploded before we could touch down.

i love trips like that with bf, cos in sg both of us are so busy with work.
he has many meetings to attend, and i work on 24 hr shifts.
we dont get to meet often. but we try our best to accomodate.

i hope our upcoming penang trip would be a blast as well..
this time, we need not self-take pictures..
tan wei ching can be our photographer..
