=(

anyway, a few weeks back, i just came back from the land of smiles...
this is my first trip with dear tata, and i am glad to say...
I ENJOYED MYSELF TREMENDOUSLY!!

to start with, planning this trip wasn't an easy one...
first, we booked the hotel on 4th, 5th, 6th (fri sat sun)
we wanted to book the air tix on the spot too...
but being 2 indecisive ppl, we dragged and dragged til the tix went up to 400++ per pax on budget airways...

with that, we decided to check the international airlines if they had a special promo or sort...
thank god SQ had a 2 to go promo, hence changed our dates to 5th 6th 7th (sat sun mon)

we wasted one hotel night and booked another hotel night for the 6th-7th.
but now looking back, the first night wasn't much of a waste cos our flight touched down in bkk at 9am, and check-in time was at 2pm the previous day.
so it simply means, we could check-in once we reach the hotel, recharge for shopping and chiong to the shops when they open...

on that fateful morning, during check-in at the airport, it was only known to us that dear's passport had less than 6 months validity.
(only 2 days short)

we got offloaded, went to the ticketing office and with much difficulty, not forgetting to thank the ticketing officer, we managed to take a chance and fly there, hoping the immigration officers at bkk are not so strict...

zhen de shi bo ze cong cong....

finally on our flight...

anita chose the omelette with chix sausage and potatoes...

i went with the pineapple rice...
tt's cos i don't have this on flight during work...

our first night was at grand diamond suites...
great location for shopaholics...
its just beside the best shopping mall on earth....

the kitchen...

bedroom...

living room

bathroom...

we wanted to cam whore...
but we were just too tired...

don't worry, not like usual outings, picture taking is defined as a waste of time in bkk...
hence, little pictures of our usual antics...
hahhaha....

after hours and hours of shopping, we made our way to chinatown for a real good dinner...

(stupid cab driver wanted to cheat us by telling us tt chiantown is closed today, and wanted to bring us to another place... thank god, it wasn't my first time there... and i'm pretty sure he was just bluffing... and i insisted on him just bringing us to chinatown)

oyster...
ate the first 2 and fell in love with it...
we later ordered another 2 each and was totally disgusted cos it was too big for our liking...
*puke*

sharksfin...
i like....

some meat...

fried rice...
this is small...
imagine the big portion!!

tom yum goong....
tom yum soup there beats those in sg hands down...

after dinner, we went to buy some food and went back to rest our feet...

burberry cab... so cool...
this was a normal cab driver...
thank god...

went out again to somewhere near siam discovery...
walked half way and my stomach hurt so much...

wanted to find a clean toilet to do my business...
and amari watergate was the closest...

pictures taken since there was a huge mirror...
hahhaa...

dear love her specs so much...

we are the shopaholics....

the next day, we woke up rather early wanting to go to chaktuchak before we checked out and move to baiyoke sky for the next night...

however, to visit the 4 faced buddha was a priority...
and since the 4 faced buddha was near MBK and central world, we dropped by to do a little shopping...

cabbed back and got stuck in a massive jam...
slept in the cab, woke up 1/2 and hr later to find myself at the same spot...
damn irritating...

when we finally got back to the hotel, it was already almost 4pm...
luckily the hotel wasn't fully booked, so they did not charge us any extras for a super late check out...

checked into baiyoke sky shortly after countless cabs refused to pick us up at about 5pm...
when we stepped into the room...
we were 'wowed'

pics cant tell much though...

bathroom

bedroom

a big 'walk-in' closet and make-up table

the room was really quite big and it only costs $90 per night...
however, to get to platinum, you have to squeeze thru pratunam market...
and walking back from platinum once pratunam closed can be really scary...

shopaholics all geared up for more shopping...
we practically only shopped at the pratunam area...
yet, there are still so many stuff to buy!!!

dinner was bought back to the hotel...
this is only like 1/4 of what we bought...
too hungry, and the lightings weren't good...
thus no pics of other food...

oh yea... we blinged up our blackberry!!!
only about 15 sgd per hp...
dear is super good at bargaining...
hahhaha....

on the final day, we went to MBK and siam square to see if there were cheap loots...
met an ultimate ass cabby which drove us to some stupid BTS instead of MBK, and told us to get off cos he doesn't want to drive us to MBK as he will be wasting his time stuck in the jam...
the worst cabby i have ever met!!!!

i guess as we were still fuming mad, we did not get anything from MBK...
made our way to pantip plaza for A&W!!!
i have always wondered y A&W closed down in SG....

and spent the last few hrs in bkk at platinum mall...

look at our barang barangs...
went there almost empty handed, coming back with almost overweight bags...
20kg btw...

i'm glad this trip had made me realise more about dear tata though we are already so close..
this shows that a person can never be fully understood...

when will our next trip be???
gin and joy, pls be free this time....

and not forgetting, ching, gek and glenn, we have to go on a trip together as well!!!

next stop, perhaps bali or jarkata with bf =)
