DAY 4
-one more shot at the statue of liberty-

woke up a little later than usual, as we had nth much on our itinerary.
booked our bus to woodsbury for boxing day =)

happy me!!!

outfit for the day.

it was a very cold and windy day.
needed my hood to keep my ears warm.

on the way for another round of ippudo for lunch =D
this time, the wait was even longer..
if i remembered correctly, we waited for almost 3 hours for our seat, and we were within the last 10 pax to have managed to get to be in the waiting list.

after a super satisfying lunch, we walked the streets again.
spent quite a bit in marc by marc jacobs.
bought gifts for my colleagues, and 2 shirts for bf.

once again at the ferry terminal.
we managed to get our tickets this time...

stopped by for hotdog though we just had ippudo not long ago.
dont blame us. blame it on the weather..
it was fucking cold that day!!
only the 4 letter word could describe how cold it was....

look at how red my cheeks and nose are?
its not make up.

i had to hide at a corner to eat.
the wind kept blowing my hair into the sauce!!!!

we had to wait for security checks before boarding and it was out in the cold!!!
i regreted not wearing more layers out!!!
gek had it so bad that she thought her wrist was fractured.

travelling with gek was really easy.
it is our first trip together and i'm we didnt have any conflicts.

i think the pigeons felt the same way too..

stopped by at ellis island as it was on the way.

we went back to manhatten for shopping at victoria secrets, h&m before we called it a day.
and not forgetting, this was the fateful day i lost my new coach gloves...

i had just recently turned 23, and this birthday couldnt have been better..
no branded stuff nor overseas trips, but i seem to enjoy this one more than any other.

New York
Day 3

after shopping so much on day 2, day 3 is a sight seeing day!!!
waking up just as early, we prepared and head out for brunch...

ching requested that we take pics of out winter outfits every day so that she can get some inspiration from us.

FIRST STOP!!
FOOD!!!!

hitched a cab for the first time to our destination!!!

for this restaurant, we had to wait for almost an hour to get a seat.

a place that serves noodles...

an hour wait was pretty long for hungry people..

i think i ordered the special raman..

IPPUDO in NY is nicer than the one in SG..
ever since trying the raman there, i have never craved for the one in sg anymore...
i wanna go to japan's ippudo.
heard its even better than the one in NY!!!!

as usual, gek ordered. Gek always has the honour of ordering at every meal. Be in it sg or overseas. Even in penang, gek ordered..

the meal in NY came in a set.
with a salad and rice.

after a heavy heavy brunch, we walk a few streets to find marc jacobs.
the nearest outlet from manhatten is here...

walked pass a few nice shops and houses.

looking back at all these photos, i really miss new york alot!!!!

after some light shopping whereby we walk up and down the streets a few times, we hitched another cab to the brooklyn bridge.

the building there are MASSIVE!!
even fei gek looks small, slim, and tiny...

i was so thirsty after drinking all the soup at ippudo.
I had to stop by to get a drink.
i vividly remember i got kickapoo...

in the states they use salt to make the roads less slippery when it snows...

once we pass this bridge, we will be in another state...

and we didnt walk to the end of the bridge.
we walk half way, took pictures and walked back..
we just wanted to make a statement that we were there, and we were on this bridge.
ahahahhahahha...

gek wanted to visit the statue of liberty so badly.
she didnt get the chance to visit on her past trips.
so this trip, this was one of the most important place to go.

at the garden where the boat is...

this boat will take us to liberty island..
however, we did not manage to go that day.
the tickets were sold out.
Gek was devasted..

since we didnt manage to go to liberty island, we walked over to the financial centre instead.
they say, touching this 'charging bull' from head to tail would bring you luck in investments.
but i havent had any luck yet.
maybe because i havent invested in anything except bags..
hahahha...

Dinner was at Super Dog, and dessert was at Pink Berry!!
according to gek, its the original of all frozen yogurts in sg.

and that dessert made us happy and very satisfied for the day =)
if you were thinking if we shopped for that day, yes we did.
but its to places like gap and zara, h&m...
nth much, hence no pictures.
