New York
Day 3
after shopping so much on day 2, day 3 is a sight seeing day!!!
waking up just as early, we prepared and head out for brunch...
ching requested that we take pics of out winter outfits every day so that she can get some inspiration from us.
the chairs at the hallway.
and the lift that has money balls...
FIRST STOP!!
FOOD!!!!
hitched a cab for the first time to our destination!!!
guess where???
for this restaurant, we had to wait for almost an hour to get a seat.
the lighting was perfect for photos.
have u guessed where this place is??
a place that serves noodles...
an hour wait was pretty long for hungry people..
i think i ordered the special raman..
*YUMMY!!!!
IPPUDO in NY is nicer than the one in SG..
ever since trying the raman there, i have never craved for the one in sg anymore...
i wanna go to japan's ippudo.
heard its even better than the one in NY!!!!
as usual, gek ordered. Gek always has the honour of ordering at every meal. Be in it sg or overseas. Even in penang, gek ordered..
the meal in NY came in a set.
with a salad and rice.
yummy yummy!!!
i love IPPUDO!!!
warm soup and noodles in winter is so satisfying...
after a heavy heavy brunch, we walk a few streets to find marc jacobs.
the nearest outlet from manhatten is here...
walked pass a few nice shops and houses.
looking back at all these photos, i really miss new york alot!!!!
Gek bought a few bangles from marc jacobs.
Bookmarc...
me taking a snap shot of the bag for my sis.
marc by marc jacobs.
after some light shopping whereby we walk up and down the streets a few times, we hitched another cab to the brooklyn bridge.
the building there are MASSIVE!!
even fei gek looks small, slim, and tiny...
traffic light...
approaching the brooklyn bridge...
i was so thirsty after drinking all the soup at ippudo.
I had to stop by to get a drink.
i vividly remember i got kickapoo...
in the states they use salt to make the roads less slippery when it snows...
once we pass this bridge, we will be in another state...
the 2 fav pic..
and we didnt walk to the end of the bridge.
we walk half way, took pictures and walked back..
we just wanted to make a statement that we were there, and we were on this bridge.
ahahahhahahha...
last picture before heading back to the starting point.
gek wanted to visit the statue of liberty so badly.
she didnt get the chance to visit on her past trips.
so this trip, this was one of the most important place to go.
at the garden where the boat is...
this boat will take us to liberty island..
however, we did not manage to go that day.
the tickets were sold out.
Gek was devasted..
since we didnt manage to go to liberty island, we walked over to the financial centre instead.
they say, touching this 'charging bull' from head to tail would bring you luck in investments.
but i havent had any luck yet.
maybe because i havent invested in anything except bags..
hahahha...
a random picture of how they park their cars in new york...
we said goodbye to ellis island and the statue of liberty for today.
we will be back!!!
a random pic of the bridge taken in the cab on our way back.
back at manhatten, we visited another attraction..
Empire state
no pictures of what we saw downstairs as we wanted to catch the sky at dusk.
the super nice picture or nyc..
the cars and buses look so small...
on our way down, gek stood behind this very tall guy...
gek is only at his armpit!!!!
ok, this is what you see before going up.
crystal empire state building.
sparkly and shiny..
i like...
empire state made of candy!!!
Dinner was at Super Dog, and dessert was at Pink Berry!!
according to gek, its the original of all frozen yogurts in sg.
your daily dose of swirly goodness!!!
gek had mochie toppings only.
i had mochie and choc chips =D
and that dessert made us happy and very satisfied for the day =)
if you were thinking if we shopped for that day, yes we did.
but its to places like gap and zara, h&m...
nth much, hence no pictures.
-day 4 to be continued-
